everything is a straight bolt in.
At least it was on my pair of '73 BGT's
when I swapped motors and trannies.

The O/D wiring is part of the main harness.
Just check your wiper switch in the non-o/d car
to see if the switch is there. If not swap the column
switch as well.

...same rear cross mount just slightly different
positions of the mounts. (O/D tranny is a bit longer)
yep..and use the driveshaft from the O/D car.

Subject: Overdrive interchangability

Hi All
I have an additional question regarding
overdrives.....

I have a MGB roadster 1968 (without Overdrive) and am
parting out a MGB roadster 1971(with overdrive).

My question is.... can I take the overdrive unit (plus
wiring) and successfully bolt it straight into the
1968 car?
or do I need to modify anything and use the O/D drive
shaft?

Regards
Phil
