First, how do you check the kingpins? What's the criteria that should be
used to decide "worn but good yet" and "ick, bad, replace"?
Secondly, I've been having a problem with the car idling down when warm/hot
and not wanting to start again in that condition. I'm on another list (a
motorcycle one) where someone was having this problem and someone there
suggested that if the points were gapped a little to close this might
happen. Could this possibly be the cause of my problem with the MG?
I replced the points when I first got the car and set the gap correctly but
haven't touched it since (~2years).
