Hi Jim;

Almost certainly, assuming you can find no evidence of fluid leaking
anywhere to the outside, you have an internal leak in your M/C. When you
push the pedal in, the fluid is moving from the pedal side of the master
cylinder to the reservoir side.

Sounds like time for a rebuild.
