Well, it isn't exactly bidding...I wasn't trying to buy a house on eBay. I
have put in several offers on houses in the Montgomery County, PA area, all
to no avail. It seems that everyone who is selling thinks they own mansions
and won't come down to an amount I can afford. They don't seem to see all
the work (and expense) that is required to make the house livable.
The first one had a wonderful, huge garage with a pit and a huge loft. It
had a nice house too. Another offer was made the same day as mine, and it
was higher.
I just put an offer on a house today. This one is in Hatboro, PA. Two car
garage with a large shop attached. The shop has a wooden floor that has been
destroyed by termites, but the building seems solid. The home inspection
will tell all, if they accept my offer. Apparently this shop was used in the
past by a guy who built racing engines.
Wish me luck. (But don't post a buncha "Good Luck" messages!)
