Here I am with greasy hands. I thought my MGA engine was F#$@^&ed! It kept
rattling. You guys gave many great suggestions on adjusting valves, etc. I
loosened the belt and the rattle stopped. The water pump was tight, but there
was slight back and forth motion. I happened to have another new water pump
and a gasket! This won't take 2 hours. Now the radiator is out and the pump
feels great. I reach down and rock the pulley. Feels loose. Won't tighten. I
look closer and the thing has separated. Bummer! A gorgeous day. I can't put
it back together now. Anyone have a MGA pulley they want to sell ASAP?
