Bill a 1/2 ton stand is more than enough for an MG engine. When my engine was apart I could pick up the block on my own which means that its by far less than a 100Kg. Don't waste your money on a stand you will never come close to loading with a ton unless you plan on rebuilding a D9 caterpillar engine.
