Had similar experiences both on the golf course and on the interstate, only
I was the one who hit a big drive that sliced to the right and onto a
highway. This was years ago and on the East coast, so it was not me in CA
and I did get a car. I was playing with my Dad and as the ball bounced off
the car I saw my Dad hoofing it to the club house. I need to add that the
highway right of way and the out of bounds for that hole were the same.
While in Denver I was driving on 225 in my MGA and went across some bridge
construction. The MGA not being the fastest car on the road everybody was
passing me up, including some big trucks. As one big rig roared by it
kicked a metal plate up from the road. This plate flew up and over the MGA,
clearing me and the car by only inches.
