Hello Dave. No, check valve. The front rubber brake line may be blocked and
not letting the brake fluid return to master cylinder. Or when you pushed the
caliper pistons back into caliper. You didn't clean them first. And these are
not releasing.
If this is the problem. You can work them in and out a few times. And clean
them.
More than likely if the brake line are original. They are bad too. Same with
back hose.
