Yep, that's pretty normal for a 1500 Midget.  The 1500 has a history of a 
weak bottom end, so keep an eye on the oil pressure.  There are some tricks 
you can do when it is engine rebuild time, but for now, do ALL the regular 
maintenance and ENJOY the car!  Nothing is as important as regular oil 
changes.
