I know that Clausager guess-timated the Z-series weight for his book, but,
in truth it doesn't weigh anywhere near 3,300lbs. The factory literature
states 2,424lbs. unladen for the ZB. The MkIV Magnette published weight was
2,520lbs. a couple of years later. The BHP to weight ratio is still
something less than stellar.
You make good points about the driving environment out there, and I tend to
agree with your observations.
