  I suppose you could oil the thing while it's in the door but suggest
that you might as well remove the mechanism and do it right.
  Chances are that the stiff action of the winder is because the oil in
it has congealed. Rinsing off the dirt and old oil with kerosine or paint
thinner, drying it, then oiling with fresh oil will give you greater
satisfaction than trying to bend a flexible tube around inside the door
to get oil on moving points that you can't see.   
   Put some squirts of silicone into the felt channels for the glass to
help the glass move more easily. One would think that years of use would
cause the felts to get looser, but those on my MGBs grew tighter and the
silicone helped.
