Call an autobody paint shop and see if they have dum dum (or it's
equivalent). You certainly don't want to use the windshield adhesive.
The rubber seal should not adhear to the body, just seal up against it.
The only spots that are of any real concern are near the posts that go
through the body and the fender seams. The rest should seal without any
special treatment.
