Bill,
I use the Peco and love it. Yes, I felt a performance boost.
Keep the MG header and the piece that connects to it, the one that makes the
bend to pass beneath the vehicle. Cut this piece where the two pipes come
together and weld on a connecting piece to fit the Peco. This way, you
utilize the very good MGB system, but only up to the point where it
constricts to the single (1 1/4"?) pipe.
