Chuck:

The 282-750 (AHH5253) is specifically designed to fit the MGA.  The back
side can be folded up to use it on the MGB, but it is not the correct part.
Apparently some time in the past the MGB seal set got hard to find and the
MGA one was substituted in the catalogs.  This is one of the areas we are
working on correcting.  If a substitution like this is made, there must be a
different part number used, the customer notified that it is a substitution
and steps must be taken to continue to find sourcing on the original type of
part.  There is a lot of deferred maintenance that we are now taking steps
to correct.

I've changed the web site to the correct number, and have had the correct
seal kits ordered.
