Hi
since, I believe, the switch is a grounding function and the power is applied
to the pump. I would disconnect
from the pump and with an ohm meter trace the grounding wire back toward the
switch looking for a lost piece of
insulation causing a permanent ground, false signal.
good luck with it.
It may ge in the stearing column.
