Most things are possible.
You need to state your objective. What are you hoping to achieve with
the swap?
We have a guy that races his Bugeye (Frogeye to some) Sprite but I would
hardly call it a sprite with mostly fibreglass panels and a Mazda rotary
engine - and big, slick tyres. It goes quick (very, very quick), but
then again he virtually rebuilds the thing after each race meeting.
So I guess most things are possible... but to what ends?
