Yes, the memories do linger. We also took our honeymoon in the MG. It
was March and it snowed between the church and the reception, but we
made it! When it came time to leave, I found my best man, after having
consumed much champagne, sitting on the curb trying to put a handful of
pebbles into the hub caps. He never succeeded, even after a great deal
of effort due to the fact the car has wire wheels! We enjoyed a
wonderful week cruising the Oregon coast without a single malfunction.

That was 25 years ago. We still have the car. Other MGs have come and
gone, but she's kept us both. You can see a picture at:

Thomas can't help you with a new/used clutch pedal but like to share my
honeymoon trip with you. My wife and I had gotten married in 1968 when I
returned from Viet-Nam, I had gotten 30 days leave and used that time to
get reacquainted with my bride to be and to get married.after our
wedding we made no firm plans when one of us said let's throw some
clothes into the car and go someplace, after our leave we were going to
Spain for 3 years to a remote Radio Station, so we decided with very
little money and little clothing to drive all the back roads from
Maryland Virginia, Pennsylvania and up to Niagara Falls, we decided
within a half an hour to leave in our 1966 MGB and head from Oxon. Hill,
Maryland to Niagara Falls. beautiful weather (April), no care, looking
good and taking all the back county roads up to Canada, my long rambling
about this issue is that you folks will never forget your honeymoon trip
in you MGB,and I wish you as much fun as we had and be happy while
touring Congratulations Bernie 71 MGB Chesapeake, Virginia
