So, over the weekend I finally had a chance to install my new Moss/Robbins
tonneau cover, and put away the hardtop (having wasted two weeks of glorious
weather). On Monday I drove to Millbrae for the day on business. I get back
to the car around 3pm, and it's bloody raining! Of course, the soft top is
still in the duffel bag in the garage. So, I put on my spare car jacket over
the light jacket I was wearing, and sit there steaming at the stop light
waiting to get out of the parking lot, wipers swishing. I assumed once I got
on the freeway I'd be fine, but no, Californios can't drive in rain, it's
stop-and-go. Fortunately, I'd outrun the rain front after about two miles,
and traffic picked up. By the time I got to Mountain View, it was sunny and
warm. My wife gets home, and goes "rain? what rain?"...
