Good advice from Hans!  The last time my car was inspected was 1985, so
I estimate those old Pirellis are at least 20 years old.  And to think I
drove it home from the PO's house on the highway in the rain...

Renew these after 6 - 7 years even if these are not worn.
In colder climates it may take a little longer.....
