Early Tach and Speedos are getting hard to find.  I absolutely recommend
that these types of gauges be professionally restored.  The specialists
will just do a much better job on these instruments than a home mechanic
can.  When you get the instruments back they will be like new, and will
work correctly for many years to come.  

The three companies that I have personal knowledge of are:

West Coast:  West Valley Instruments,  Los Angeles  CA
West:  MoMar, Albuquerque NM
East:  Nisonger Instruments  NJ

Palo Alto Speedo also has an excellent reputation, but I have not
personally used them.

Each of them will do an excellent job, and pricing will be commensurate
with quality.
