Let me know what you find out. I used the 3m high temperature spray on
adhesive (I think it was 3m) that I got from Moss, mainly to use on my
new carpet on the firewall. However, it does not hold the insulation mat
(or whatever it is called) during summer heat. Between the engine heat
on one side and the heat from the sun shining on the black tulip paint
finish, the insulating material starts to come loose. It sticks back on
after the temperature cools a bit.

Can anyone tell me with authority, the maximum temperature reached under

the hood - at the hood? I need to know to check out what adhesives will

stick sound deadening stuff under the bonnet (hood)
