TVR have been building their very own engines for quite a few years now.  10
years back they mainly used the venerable old Rover (ex-Buick) V8, albeit
seriously modified, but they now have their own range of straight-sixes and
V8s.  They sound fantastic, but there's no way one could be shoe-horned into
the back of an MG TF!!

The MG TF has been around for a long time now, I doubt it would be worth
spending a great deal developing it further.  It is overdue for complete
replacement.  However, Lotus managed to fit a Toyota 4-pot into the Elise
where a K-Series had also fitted, so if MG could achieve that without too
much trouble it might be worth doing.  Sell a few of those in the US, might
help fund a replacement...
