Ooo now, I'm not so sure about that.  When I removed mine for painting the
seal was still in very good condition so I left it on the frame and it went
back in very easily.  When I had new glass the fitters insisted on fitting a
new seal and they had a right struggle with it, both getting in into the
frame and getting the frame back in the car.
