And don't know where I'll be after 11 hours of driving.
Sounds like something's happening down in Gaitlingburg.
That's Tennessee, which for me up in Maine is a bit more than 11 hours.
Can someone please send me the original info?
Thanks.

Oh, a note to Richard. It is amazing how far we Yanks travel and
consider it "normal."

We occasionally drive to Washington, DC for a long weekend - that's
13 hours straight driving!

There are also regional differences. When I was growing up in NYC,
the thought of driving anywhere for more than 15 minutes was
unthinkable. If we did drive, it was to go "on a trip" maybe three,
four hours out of the City to someplace "in the country."

When I moved to Maine, I learned that three hours is a "nothing"
drive. Hell, it's two hours - at 85 mph - to Bangor, and we do that
on occasion just to go to dinner.

Then we visited our daughter, who is going to school in Texas. Man!
Down there you drive for three hours - at 85 - just to stop by for a
BBQ at a friends! Stuff up and stock up and drive back.

Interesting world eh.

By the way, where in Scotland do you come from? My wife's mother is
Scottish.

Cordially,
Mike Torrusio
