Pinion oil seal for tube type axle

Thanks for the tips and links.
I've replaced it and put @ 100mi on it so far with not problems.

No way I could budge the nut with a 1/2" breaker bar.  Just couldn't keep
the pinion from rotating.  I ended up having to use an impact to just get it
started.  I did tighten it up a smidgen too far though.  It tightened a
whole lot easier than it loosened.
Anyone know what the symtoms would be if you tightened too far and crushed
the collapsable spacer?
