Headlight failure, especially if it happened to both beams on both lamps
could be caused by problems at the main lighting switch or the dip-switch
(blue wire) as well as the grounds.  However the front side marker lamps
also use that ground, so if they were on it is unlikely to be grounds.  If
they were off as well it could be at the 4-way bullet connector with black
wires by the right-hand headlight where the two sides join together, or
where it bolts to the body by the fusebox.  However this last is the ground
for the starter relay as well so unless the ground wire for the headlights
has broken off a failure between the tag and the body is likely to cause
strange interactions.
