Hello Friends,
A little more progress today. Some here have asked
for me to continue the restoration updates. Here's an
installment. Just delete if this bores you.
+ Tested the entire electrical system, switches,
lamps, gauges, etc., and everything works.
+ Fitted new switches into original bezels. The
switches look great, if a little different that
original. Now that the alignment is verified, the
switches will be cemented into the bezels with dabs of
RTV.
+ Applied vinyl primer to the the console. It is now
curing.
+ Repaired vinyl trim at base of windscreen. Will be
refinished tomorrow.
+ Stripped and repainted the de-mister vents.
+ Added a little more Leatherique CrackFiller to the
cracks in the dash. Almost done there.
+ Began replumbing the windscreen washer jets only to
discover they are damaged beyond repair. New jets
have been ordered. The plumbing is in place awaiting
the new jets.
