I have heard "5 years" bandied about frequently, but I suspect that is just
a C.Y.A. figure put out by tire dealers. I would think that under the
conditions you describe, 10 year old tires would be fine. It's not like
these cars are experiencing sustained speeds in excess of 100mph. So long as
the pressure is maintained properly, they are probably fine for normal
driving, for even longer than that. Just don't put yourself into a position
where a sudden delamination would be fatal.

IMHO, YMMV, no legal responsibility, etc.
