I bought one of the kits from autozone, for my 2005 VW Passat. It was a
fair bit of elbow grease, but it worked pretty well. I think mine was the
Meguirs kit. I did it a little less than a year ago, and it seems to be
holding up well, but I live in mild-climate southern California.
