[Mgs] Oil filter and flow direction

At the risk of making a stupid remark:

Do you use the correct filter?
E.g. anti-drainback in the wrong direction and later blown to pieces 
as the pressure builds up?

I use Mann W 916/1 (bought a small stock, once) without problems for 
both my 1970 MGB
and my 1972 Sunbeam Sceptre.
