Thanks, Paul.=C2=A0 That is helpful.=C2=A0 The problem still exists howeve=
r, in that the diagram of the relief valve in the manual does not agree wit=
h the parts in my overdrive unit.=C2=A0 The picture you attached is like mi=
ne.=C2=A0 My question is, if the relief valve were installed improperly, wo=
uld that cause the overdrive not to engage?=C2=A0 Yesterday, I reversed the=
plunger to get it in the correct alignment and reinstalled the entire asse=
mbly.=C2=A0 I drove it this morning, and it didn't seem to make any differe=
nce - the overdrive still did not engage.=C2=A0 Any additional thoughts?=C2=

OK, attached is a picture of the components as they were installed in my =
oil pump.=C2=A0 I have removed it, and after carefully examining the assemb=
ly, I think I can see why it is not working.=C2=A0 I had the plunger (the i=
tem in the middle in the attached picture) installed backwards.=C2=A0 I had=
the long end of the plunger going down into the pump body, so of course, t=
he plunger riding on the cam would not even contact the plunger going into =
the body.=C2=A0 When I turned the plunger around, the 2 plungers now come i=
nto contact with each other, thus allowing the pump to work.=20
I'd still be interested in any comments you have (other than "what a s***h=
ead").=C2=A0 Also, I'd like to get an exploded diagram of the unit in my ca=
r.=C2=A0 Thanks for any help you can give me.=20
