Rudy (and other +4 owners)
I can't answer your question but just a word of warning re the crank.
The last time I rebuilt my engine, on reassembly the crank would not
turn.
Disassembling it, I uncovered some metal pieces from the the turning
process between the rod bearing insert and journal (not present when I
assembled the engine). I returned to the machine shop and what we found
was that the the oil galleys in the crank are cross drilled and caped .
This leaves a pocket in the galley and the junk collects in the pocket.
Attempts to blow out or wash out the galley simple packs it . When you
do the assembling the oil and turning free it up and it falls in to the
bearing area.
The fix is to have the machine shop remove the allen screws which cap
the cross drill channel . Some caps may have to be drilled out since
the factory peen them once in place.
