The following observations are transcribed here from a friend working
on a '34 F-type that will be Nile Blue and Cream.
1. The Nile River is green, not blue.
2. The Nile river is dark because it is filled with silt.
3. Nile Blue is a dark color. It is something like a teal, a mixup
of deep colors leaning towards
green rather than blue. (this is observed by some original paint on
the underside of the bonnet - far enough from heat sources to
speculate it is very close to original).
4. All Morgan 3 Wheelers were brush painted, not sprayed. This
dramatically affects the end color, although many modern paints are
not made to brush on..
5. Real old fashioned paint still available in England is not legal
to transport or is very costly as has to be declared a hazard.
6. A lighter blue that some say is Nile blue is really Sax blue,
which is a little darker than Robins Egg blue, but not dark in any
case. At least in early 30s form, it is not a light teal.
7. No expert in this pre-war color exists, although several companies
in England can mix the old style paint if a suitable example can be
provided to match the paint to..
He will try to duplicate the color, but it will be matched to what he
found on the underside of the bonnet and if possible brushed on.
