Wheel shimmy can be vastly improved by having round tires and wheels. Make sure
the damper blades are snug and have the wheels balanced ON THE CAR, rather then
spin balanced. This precludes periodic rotation and the wheels must be marked
when removed, but it works very well.

A rubber pad, 1/8" is fine, should be placed between the stay and the bottom of
the wing. The stay should not touch the wing at any point. Most importantly
body filler should NOT be used around the wing light hole at any point. It will
crack very quickly. Welds should be built up and ground smooth so that filler
is not needed.
