Here's one I haven't heard about..
I just thought it rode hard.... as Morgans are so often known to do.
However, while lubing the front end it appears that the king pin's are
frozen to the bushings and there is no movement in the front suspension, on
either side. Wow!
Anyone have experience with this sort of thing?
The car was not used for about 5 years before I bought it, so I suspect the
inactivity might have contrbuted to this condition. I've driven it for
about 10,000 miles since the purchase, regularly using the oiler and keeping
the front end well greased. Aside from the rough ride there appears to be
no damage, but I'll be going over the front end quite carefully just to be
sure.
Any suggestions on how to free it up?
I'd like to drive it to Indianapolis this weekend, but now not too sure.
