First  Notice ---  NOVEMBER MOPs EVENT 1999

The November driving event takes in a museum tour, an artistic craft 
demonstration and TWO MEALS!

WHEN:           Sunday November 7, 1999

WHERE:  Boyertown, PA.  Boyertown is on the Southern edge of Berks County.  It 
is the home                      of the Boyertown Transportation Museum which 
features the some of the earliest self                     propelled vehicles 
in the nation. (Duryea).  Museum tour in the morning.

                Afternoon wood turning demonstration at the workshop studio of 
David Souza,                             Gilbertsville, PA.  Dave's workshop is 
just a few country/city blocks from the Boyertown                Museum.  Dave 
will demonstrate the technique of lathe turning a wooden hollow form            
          art object from tree to final finish.  A must see for Morgan 
enthusiasts who from                       necessity are all woodworkers.

FOOD:   Ahh! That all-important MOPs activity.  

                Breakfast:      At the Boyertown Fire Company which is just 
across the street from                                      the Boyertown 
Museum.
                Dinner:         The Pit Stop Restaurant, New Berlinville, PA 
just outside Boyertown.                                    Great steaks and 
chops in a race car atmosphere.

TIMES:  Fire company breakfast from 8 AM to 12 N.  Museum tour time flexible, 
go at your                        own pace but complete your tour in time for 
the caravan to Dave and Sandy Souza's                       place (less than a 
10 minute ride) in time for a 2 PM demonstration .  The demo will               
     take about one hour.  Thence on to the Pit Stop for early dinner (about 
4PM).  

                Since this is an all day activity and because you may have 
other commitments,  you can                  join all or a part of the 
activities at your convenience.  Just bazz on up to Boyertown via               
      PA Route 73 or 100 and continue on the attached map.

COST:           Pay as you go.  The Fire company breakfast cost is determined 
by how much you eat,                      probably less than $5.  Museum 
admission is $4 for adults, $3.50 seniors, $2 students.  
                Wood turning demo is free.  Dinner will be in the inexpensive 
range.  Please note the Pit               Stop accepts only cash payment.
