Can anyone tell me the manufacturer/part # for the brake light switch
on my '93 Plus 8. I think it is the same switch since around the
mid-seventies. It is a brass connection screwed into the 5 way brass
union--my is on the chassis just beside the master
cylinder. I should be able to go to a parts store and
pick one up; but I need to know what car (manufacurer it is from).
I can't be the first person to try and find one....
A temporary road fix was to connect two wires to the switch
and run these to a "starter" button inside Moggie. Whenever
I needed brake lights one would just push and hold the button
until the lights were no longer needed. My wife got fairly proficient
at this: I'd say "brake-on" and she'd push and hold the button; I'd
say "brake-off" and she'd release the button. I don't understand,
but she doesn't seem to think this is a long term solution.
So, could someone provide me the manugacturer/part # before
she files for divorce.
