Hello all: I'm finally starting to get back into rebuilding my 1963 plus 4
which is scattered around my garage. I had a couple of questions that
hopefully someone might have some ideas for me to try.
I'm having a difficult time trying to remove the fuel filler cap/neck from
the rear deck so I can have that panel cleaned up. From what I gather, there
is a ring that is threaded on to the back of the filler neck which pinches
the assembly in place. Now, I can't seem to break that ring free, at least
by twisting. I've tried applying heat (propane torch) without success, and
before trying something drastic (and unrepairable) I thought I'd see if
anyone has faced this scenario or had some ideas for me to try.

Next question has to deal with my fuel tank. Looks like I've got a metal
plate with a couple of 1 1/2" holes in it flopping about inside the tank. I
presume that it was a baffle that came loose over time. Is that something
the local radiator shop can handle repairing?

Thanks for the help
Chris Kempin
