Dear Listers: Is it possible to transplant a 1500cc "Spitfidget" engine and
transmission into a Morris Minor or does everything line up wrong? My 958cc
engine is worn out and my mechanic offered an engine from a crunched Midget.
I know the clutch is on the wrong side but are the mounts, gearshift and
exhaust in the right place? I'm trying to weigh my options. Thanks for your
