If you are going to make your own setup there will likely be welding
involved. You may want to see if your donor car bracing bracket could
be modified to work.

I don't believe so, you would have to call them to know for sure though.

The IC kit is designed to use an '85 ranger brake light switch. This is
a pretty cheap junkyard item. You could always try your switch on to
see if it works.
