Hi Randy,
"Art Deco" Chevrolets are my thing but the GMC are closely related. Here's
what I know about your buddies truck:
EC-102 is considered a 3/4 ton has a 125-3/4" wheelbase (The EC-101s ((half
ton)) had a 115" wb).
The engine was the 228 cid. Serial numbers went to 8084 in the model year
1946. There's a '46 (actually a '47 first series) GMC Suburban on
www.jps.net/haist/artdeco.htm / PHOTOGRAPHS if you want to see one in all
its original Art Deco splendor.
