Hi Grant,

For my 16's I just fill it to the pressure listed on the sidewall to
achieve my maximum load rating, or slightly below that for a little
better traction and ride. I think mine are about 75 in the back and 65
in the front. 8 plies would be lower, so 65 sounds like a lot but maybe
that's what the tire says.

Grant asks: Does anyone have a clue what I should run for tire pressure
in 700-15LT
8 ply radials? The Firestone dealer mounted them and put 65 PSI in them,
their lit says to consult your owners manual. This is a half ton and
didn't have 15 inch, never mind radials. I aired them down to 45 PSI and
they ride is softer but I would like to know the optimum pressure before
I notice they aren't wearing properly. The shop manual has a chart for 8
ply15 bias tires with a range from 36 to 48. Should I use this as a
guide even though my tires say max 65 PSI. Should truck radials have
that low on air look to them like car radials?

Thanks in ADvance,
