Mine are 5/16 square file stock 8&1/2 inches long. The profile of various
pitch thereads are ground onto the stock. There are 8 different pitches
for each file.

Blue Point No. TF1124A (11,12,13,14,16,18,20,24 TPI) and TF1127A
(9,10,12,16,20,27,28,32 TPI. Reiff & Nestor Co. METRIC NU_TRIX
(.75,1.00,1.25,1.5,1.75,2.00,2.50,3.00) for the Metric one.

You select the proper pitch and overlap several good threads and work over
the damaged area with regular file strokes. They are a cleanup, fixup
tool. They don't replace a die set, but there are times & places a die
won't fit.

I'm not familiar with thread files, Mike. What are they and what do you
use
them for??
Thanks,
