You can sand first coat of green with coarser than 320. 220 will sped up
run correction. If epoxy is black, use a small brush to get it into the
crevices at cross members and brackets. Then you can spray more evenly
without worrying about getting good coverage at crevices, which will give you
a run next to the crevice. Frames are tough to paint. You might go for a
faster reducer than specified, which will help prevent runs. The green stuff
may have poor hiding properties, so could be easy to run. Don't try to get
full coverage with one coat. Lots of thin coats with flash time inbetween
prevents runs. First coat runs most easily. some solvent from second coat
soaks into first coat (if it has flashed enough) which stiffens it up faster,
so it runs less. good argument to allow extra time between coats. I've
been painting since 1970 and still get runs sometimes.
