I found what looks to be a brush guard (in a shopping cart near my house...
I live near a scrap yard), and would like some help identifying it.

Guard is mainly one chromed bar, bent in a somewhat square shape; has
another, smaller chrome bar below it and attached to the middle of the top
bar by a big (6"x4") chrome box, stamped:
 "Safe-Guard"
BY
STEEL PROCESSORS
FORT WORTH 6, TX"

There are then two smaller 'legs' attached to the lower bar; I assume they
are braces of some sort.

The whole deal LOOKS brand new (no rust or pitting), but that "FtWorth 6"
is an old-style address, so mebbee some of you N. Tx folks can let us know
if they are still in bidness.

On the whole, this doesn't look like it will fit the AD, but might have
come from an early 60's Apache a neighbor had sitting in the street.
BTW, that Apache is currently just filling up w/ scrap car parts, and will
eventually be scrapped. Body is nice, bed is all there, glass is there but
cracked... might not have a tranny or engine. Seat has been taken out, and
two buckets welded in. Seems a shame to crush a salvageable truck; if you
are interested, pmail me and i'll try to ask him about it.
