Funny thing..I never noticed that the AD truck in the sticker has rally
wheels and I look at that thing every day in the back window of my 57...
The only thing I would like to see on a new ones is that they show up
better because you can't see them at all on a tinted window like the one
in the back of my 98 Silverado.
Stock..rod...one of each please ;)
I almost bought another toy last week. It was a 49 1/2 ton, that had
been rebuilt several years ago. Good paint..ran good..and it was stock
save for a early 60's 235 and a *very* oddball wiring system that
incorporated the 6V system for all the truck functions and a 12V battery
(under the DRIVERS side floorboard) that ran the stereo. I would have
just taken that out and changed the whole mess over to a new harness and
a 12 system. All of this for the asking price of 2900 dollars. I had a
lot of soul searching to do ..I knew if I bought this truck then my 57
project would die. I know myself that well. It didn't help any that my
friend the F100 man was tempting me like the Devil himself. At any rate
I made the decision to pass it up, a decision I am sure that I will
question for a long time. But at any rate the 49 has been sold now an I
will continue on with ol rusty, maybe someday I'll have something I can
be proud of. Time will tell...
