According to the truck model ID page in my master parts book, it's a 1949
short bed series 100 (1/2 ton), 116 in wheelbase, 228 engine, chassis number
56296.
Engine can be confirmed by checking the stamped numbers on the distributor
pad - 1st 3 digits should be 228.
