Jim -

I found this old message from you in the archives. (attached)
I am getting ready to install an S10 T5 with my rebuilt 55 2cd 235
engine. I am using the old 216 bellhousing, starter, and clutch. My
clutch plate has 9 bolts holding it to the flywheel. The clutch plate
from the 235 has 6 bolts. I was just wondering if you remember what
clutch you had in yours when you used the S10 disc. to match up your T5
tranny. I have both the 216 and 235 flywheels and clutch combo
available to use with the T5. All the threads on swapping a 235 for a
216 suggest staying with the 216 bellhousing,(for motor mounts),
flywheel and starter, and clutch when using a regular AD tranny.
 Any Ideas or suggestions?

Tom

What changes? I added a T5 to a 57 with a 235 and installed a new clutch disc to
match the trans input shaft spline count hand twisted a ½" drill bit through the
4 bolt holes, chopped my driveshaft and drove it. Did I miss something? The
pilot bearing matched up.
