Greetings all,
I've got a '54 3100 and when it was originally registered way back when, it
appears the engine number was used for the VIN. Since then the engine has
been changed (by a PO) and the VIN on the registration doesn't match up with
the engine number anymore. In trying to be a good citizen, I'm attempting
to get the VIN straightened out and I have to get the highway patrol to
determine the right VIN, which I say is what is stamped on the door plate.
Is there anywhere else on the truck where the VIN might be? The highway
patrol seems to think so. Any input will be appreciated.
