I bought a smallblock Chevy engine from a local garage, they say it is a 283
from a 1964 Chevy. It was sitting around long enough that details were slim. I
checked the date code listing on the front of the engine by the head. It is
F0327D. According to MorTec it was a Flint motor from March 27th. What is the
D code on the end mean ? Also stamped above the date code was STILION, any
ideas what this is ? A remanufactured block ? Thanks for the help,
